Place Your Trust in God

During this Easter season, the Annual Catholic Appeal is dedicated to our Blessed Mother and encourages us to follow in the example of Mary. She was often unsure of the future, yet placed trust in God and His will, knowing that it would be revealed in the fullness of time.

Like Mary, on the road as a young woman, or the apostles on the road to Emmaus, many in our communities may be struggling on their journey, unsure of the future. Through the many ministries, agencies and apostolates supported by the Appeal, we extend the love and mercy of Jesus to those seeking assistance on their journeys.

The ACA directly funds many worthwhile projects in our parish, including:

• A $20,000 grant received last year by our parish to assist with work on the parking lot behind our grade school. 
• A $25,000 grant received this year to assist in replacing the front doors of our church.
• In addition, St. Francis Borgia Regional High School received $130,000 from the ACA this year.

• Tuition subsidy for Paul VI Lay Formation;
• Marriage preparation classes;
• Men and women conferences;
• 2016 REAP Retreat for our parish students;
• Right Start Student and/or parent classes were conducted for our Parish School and/or PSR by the Respect Life Apostolate;
• Women from our parish attended the Catholic Women for Christ Conference sponsored by the Office of Laity and Family Life;
• Men from our parish attended the Catholic Men for Christ Conference sponsored by the Office of Laity and Family Life;
• Couples from our parish participated in "God's Plan for a Joy-Filled Marriage," the archdiocesan marriage preparation classes, sponsored by the Office of Laity and Family Life.
• The Office of Laity and Family Life trained facilitators and assisted our parish in starting a "Divorced Catholics Survival Guide" group.
