Advent by Candlelight is a special evening for women to become renewed and refreshed, taking time from the Christmas rush. This is an opportunity to relax and refocus on the season of Advent -- a wonderful time of waiting and anticipation. In a relaxing atmosphere, lit only by candlelight, guests are served a delightful dessert by a table hostess. The program, held on Sunday, December 11th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm on the third floor of Jesuit Hall, includes uplifting Scripture readings, music and reflections focused on the Advent season.
One woman can sign up a table of friends up to 8 women and will become the hostess for her table. As a hostess, she sets her table, with the year's theme in mind and provides a dessert for her guests. This year's theme is "Coming to the Manger." A group can decorate their table together and everyone bring a dessert to share. Whether there is one hostess or everyone works together, the women may decide to bring table settings as elegant as china, or may bring paper products to use. You are invited to bring any adult beverage of your choice to enjoy with your dessert. The parish will provide coffee.
Please consider treating your friends, relatives or neighbors to this special event. Table hostess duties include reserving a table, inviting up to 7 guests, decorating your table, providing table settings for your guests including beverages and desserts. Please fill out the reservation form and return it to the Parish Office by Monday, December 5th, to the attention of "Advent by Candlelight."
