St. Francis Borgia Parish is hosting a Divine Mercy Day of Recollection on the 3rd floor of Jesuit Hall on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 pm. THIS IS A FREE EVENT! There will be local speakers - Kenn Obermark, Bill Gegg, Donna Brown, & Mary Armistead - on the following topics:
How the making of the DM signs all started here in Washington
The Promises from Jesus relating to Divine Mercy
What is Cenacle…and how do you start one in your parish?
Open Microphone…for people to share how Divine Mercy has impacted their lives.
The day begins with an optional Mass at 8 a.m. in the Church, followed by a Continental Breakfast. The presentation starts at 9 a.m. A light lunch consisting of sandwiches, chips, fruit and dessert will be served at 12:45 pm. The day concludes with the praying of the Chaplet. (There is a Mass at 4:30 pm in Church which fulfills the Sunday obligation.)
Due to Covid still being a realization in our community, we prefer for people to have been vaccinated, wear a mask (preferred, but not mandatory) and practice Covid safety protocol. There will be plenty of room in the ballroom upstairs for people who do not feel comfortable sitting near others.
There will be people attending from out-of-state and we are offering this day so that the present and past customers/purchasers of Divine Mercy signs can get together to share how this Ministry has affected/changed their lives.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Bill Gegg via phone or text (PH# 636-667-7867) or email:
[email protected] by Sept. 27, 2021. The reason for RSVP is for meal purposes. Any questions, please contact Bill at one of the methods listed above.
