To Implore God’s mercy on ourselves, our country, and our world. Come one and all!
In the year 2000, Pope John Paul II designated the Sunday after Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday. This year we will again have a special service in our church to commemorate solemnity celebrating the gift of God’s mercy.
Devotions will include the Exposition of Blessed Sacrament and Benediction, the Holy Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Reconciliation.
The Church has given us yet another opportunity to avail ourselves of God’s abundant grace and mercy. You are invited to come and share the gift He offers to one and all. Reconciliation may be received 7 days before or after Divine Mercy Sunday, also your Lenten confession preparation for Easter is sufficient as long as you remain in the state of grace. A plenary indulgence can be obtained by fulfilling the usual conditions.
“I desire that the Feast of Mercy,” said Jesus, “be a refuge and shelter of all souls, and especially for poor sinners. Whoever approaches the Fount of Life on this day will be granted complete remission of sins and punishment. Let no soul fear to draw near to me, even though its sins be as scarlet.”
“Mankind will not have peace until it turns To the Fount of MY Mercy.”
