Blessings on this Palm Sunday weekend! As we celebrate Palm (Passion) Sunday, we enter into Holy Week. Please take advantage of this week and make it a holy one for you. Spend some extra time in prayer. Come to the celebrations this week that are different from any others we have all year long. Our schedule is as follows:
Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper - 7:00 p.m.
Good Friday Service of the Lord’s Passion - 12:00 noon
Additionally, on Good Friday and Holy Saturday we will have Morning Prayer at 8:00 am for anyone who is interested. (Note: as per the customs and regulations of the Church, there will be no morning Masses on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday in order to keep our focus on these high Holy Days.) I strongly encourage you to participate in as many of the Holy Week Services as possible. I’m always amazed at the families even with young children who really get a lot out of these celebrations, including the Easter Vigil.
Come up to the KC Hall this Friday for some fried fish! The KC Hall is generously donating proceeds to area schools during the Season of Lent. SFBGS folks will be staffing the Fish Fry this Friday evening. Thank you for your support of SFBGS and the Catholic Schools in our area.
I want to call your attention to another survey that is available. As part of the All Things New strategic pastoral planning initiative, you are encouraged to share your input about Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. This is a different survey than the DMI Survey that many people just completed. The survey is open to all current/former/prospective parents, alumni, faculty, staff, administrators, donors, volunteers, and community members of both Catholic Schools and Parish-based Religious Education programs. The Education Survey is available to be completed from April 5 through May 2 and can be accessed here: https://allthingsnew.archstl.org/education-survey.
Have a Blessed Holy Week and Easter. Let us pray for each other during this special time.
