Father Mike's Message - 05/28/2023

Dear Parishioners,

Happy Memorial Day weekend! As we celebrate this weekend, let’s remember those for whom this weekend was designated. We pray for the brave men and women who made the supreme sacrifice of giving their lives in the fight to preserve our freedom and to protect our country. We pray for their families and loved ones who miss them. And let us pray for all  who have served and for those who are currently serving in the military.

Many thanks to Ed & Dolores Fischer and to Joe & Sara Fischer for sponsoring last weekend’s breakfast! We had another great crowd who enjoyed some delicious food and good company. And thanks to all of our breakfast volunteers and to our Scouts for helping to serve at the breakfast. 

Another word of thanks to our SFB Ladies’ Sodality for their generous support of our parish. The Ladies presented us a check for $12,000 that they had raised over the last year from their events. We will use that money to purchase Chromebooks for our grade school students. Technology is always changing and we appreciate the help so we can do our best to stay up to date. Thanks again to our Ladies’ Sodality and to all of you who support their good works throughout the year to make possible their support of the parish.
