Father Mike's Message - 06/05/2022

Dear Parishioners,

Congratulations to Deacon Tim Reis!  Tim was ordained a Permanent Deacon on Saturday, June 4th at the Cathedral Basilica by Archbishop Rozanski.  Deacon Tim will serve as a Deacon at Mass for the first time today (Sunday) at 9:00.  We will have a reception following Mass in the gathering area of Jesuit Hall.  All are invited to attend and celebrate with Tim and his family.

Fr. Tony will be heading out of town for the next ten days or so to visit with his sister who is in the convent in California.  As you may recall, he and his parents have limited opportunities to visit with her since she is in a cloister.  They look forward to this time every year.  Pray for safe travels and for a relaxing vacation for Fr. Tony and his parents.

Our Summer Knights Camp begins this week.  We will have a lot of kids around having a blast with their counselors.  This is a great service we offer to our parish and area families as it provides a structured camp experience for the summer.  Please be on the lookout for the kids as you drive near the parish.  Thanks for your support of all that is going on around here.

We are gearing up for Vacation Bible School this summer!  VBS will be held in the evening from July 25 - 28th here at SFB.  The VBS experience is open to children 3 years old through 5th grade (in the fall).  We are looking for volunteers as well.  Check out this link for more information: https://borgiaparish.org/vbs-2022
