Happy 4th of July! I hope you enjoy this weekend. I hope, too, that we all remember to say a prayer of thanks for our independence. Let’s also pray for the protection of the freedoms we enjoy, including religious liberty. We will celebrate Mass for the holiday at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 4th. Enjoy and please be careful!
The Annual Catholic Appeal is continuing and I encourage you to consider making a donation to it if you have not already done so. A follow up letter went out to some of our parishioners this past week. Your gift, no matter the size, will join together with the gifts of thousands of others across the Archdiocese to make a difference for feeding the poor, providing counseling, helping support those experiencing unwanted pregnancies, Catholic education, etc. Thank you for your consideration of a gift to the ACA.
As I mentioned in my bulletin article last week, beginning this weekend our Mass livestreaming schedule will change to 7:00 am and 9:00 am Masses on Sundays and 7:00 am each weekday. You can view these Masses live from
These Masses will also be available as recordings from all three sites afterward.
Another big thank you to our Rummage Sale volunteers for their hard work to make the sale so successful. They raised the most of any Rummage Sale in our parish’s history, which is really fantastic. Over $6,000! What a blessing! We also want to thank the Western Catholic Union for their gift of $500 to help support these efforts. We held a meeting to review this year’s sale and begin planning for next year. If you get the chance, you should sign up to volunteer for next year’s Rummage Sale. The volunteers have a good time and do great work. We are indeed blessed here at SFB!
