Father Mike's Message - 07/24/2022

Dear Parishioners,

Vacation Bible School will take place this week from Monday to Thursday. During this week, our children will be exploring God's Great Big Beautiful World!  The students and volunteers are in for a great week to help them grow closer to the Lord by focusing on His word and how that can lead us and guide us in living our lives.  Many thanks to Kyra Gulledge for her leadership with this and organizing of VBS this year and thanks to all of our volunteers for their assistance with this.  Say a prayer that all goes well and for all who will participate.

As the summer begins to wind down, our focus turns to the Washington Town & Country Fair.  What a great event for our community and a great opportunity for us to show off what Washington has and is!  Special thanks to our Fair Board for their countless hours of work and to all of the volunteers who help to put on a great fair.  Let’s keep all the volunteers and those who come to enjoy the fair in our prayers.

I will be away from the parish next weekend and into the week.  My niece is getting married out of town and then I’ll be spending some time on vacation in Michigan with a couple of my siblings and their children and grandchildren.  A prayer for safe travels will be appreciated.  Know of my prayers for you as well.
