Aha! The Associate has the power of the Pastor’s column in the bulletin this week! I’ll try to keep the power from going to my head . . .
A hearty congratulations to the incredible team of teachers, staff, parents, and students who constructed our float for the Fair Parade – we won 2nd place! It was a joy to represent our Parish and School with so many of you in the parade. I hope that everyone got to enjoy fair week to their fullest extent, whether that meant attending every day or staying home to avoid the crowds.
With the end of the fair comes the start of a new school year! Our teachers will be back in their classrooms this week preparing for the start of a wonderful fall semester. This coming Sunday, August 14, we’ll get the opportunity to invite our whole school family back for our Welcome Back to School Mass at 11am. All are welcome to join us for Mass and an ice cream social to follow!
Please pray a Hail Mary for a successful start to a new school year, and also say another for the spiritual success of the Luke 18 Retreat at Borgia High School this weekend.
Fr. Mike will be arriving back Sunday evening and will be back in the office on Monday. Thankfully the Rectory still looks nice and clean!
