Our Fall Festival last Sunday went extremely well! We were blessed by beautiful weather, a great big crowd, and tons of great volunteers who functioned so well as a team to make this event so wonderful! Thank you for your support. We are indeed blessed here at SFB!
Congratulations to our Fall Festival Raffle Winners! Our first prize winner of $5,000 is Josephine Meyer. The 2nd prize winner of $2,500 is Ursula Crosnoe. Amber & Josh Wright won the 3rd prize of $1,000. Our quilt raffle winner was Claire Knight. Congratulations to all of our winners and many thanks to all who participated by purchasing and/or selling raffle tickets!
Many, many thanks to this year’s Fall Festival chairs, Justin & Laura Voss, and to our co-chairs, Kyle & Jessica Mantle. They put in a lot of hours and our parish is the beneficiary of their hard work. We are looking for co-chairs for next year’s Fall Festival. If you’re interested or know of someone who might, please let Kyle, Jessica, or me know. Thank you for considering this! And thank you for your support of SFB Parish!
Our Grade School Dinner Auction, Knightmare on Elm Street, is coming up on October 1st. Tickets are sold out, but there are still opportunities for you, your family members, and friends to participate. You can find out more information on our website, www.borgiagradeschool.org, about how to sign up for virtual bidding and donating items for the auction. You can even be a sponsor for our auction! There are different levels of sponsorships and we are grateful for all of our wonderful sponsors. Thank you for your consideration and for your support of our school. Ultimately these funds benefit our students and faculty who are very grateful for your generous support.
Join us for breakfast this morning! Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who make the breakfasts possible. There’s always great food and great company at our breakfasts. Head over our Grade School Cafeteria between 7:00 and 11:30 for good food and good conversation and to support a great cause! Special thanks to this month’s breakfast sponsor, parishioners who wish to be anonymous and Tom & Janice Elbert!
More good news! Congratulations to Ron Kuebler and Jim Schwaller who are set to receive the Cardinal Rigali Service Award this Tuesday at the Rigali Center in Shrewsbury. Jim and Ron have spent countless hours and untiring efforts to help the people who come to us for assistance from our Food Pantry. These men generously serve without seeking recognition for what they do. We are proud to have them as part of our Parish Family. Congratulations, Ron and Jim!
Next weekend is Homecoming at Borgia High School. It’s always a fun series of events that celebrate who we are and strengthen our bonds as a High School family. Come on out for the parade on Friday afternoon and then cheer on the Knights on the gridiron at 7:00 as they take on the St. Dominic Crusaders.
