Thanks for all your generosity to our parish, especially the Beyond Sunday Campaign. You have been most generous and also very honest concerning your personal response to the campaign. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family.
How was your first week of Advent? Did you use the Little Blue Book? This Saturday, December 10, we will have a special celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe with a 12:00 Noon Mass being said in Spanish and English. There will be a reception after the Mass, with some great food, on the 3rd floor of Jesuit Hall. I hope you will join us for this celebration.
There will be a Prayer Day at Our Lady of Lourdes on Monday, December 12, planned by both Fr. Theby and Fr. Joe. Also, a Community Reconciliation Service will take place here at St. Francis Borgia on Tuesday, December 13, at 7:00 PM. Both of these prayerful events are intended to enhance your spiritual journey of Advent.
Do you like statistics? I do. The Pastoral Office of Planning made available a scatter map of each parish. It shows, with dots on a map, where all the parishioners live in our parish. It shows what percentage actually live within the parish boundaries. It has statistics from 2007 to present day of the percentage for each year. Over 60% our parishioners live in our parish boundaries. I am grateful to all of our parishioners for supporting the mission of St. Francis Borgia. We could not accomplish what we do without your support!
Have a hopeful and joyful Advent Season.
