We are off and running into the ‘21-’22 school year. Things are going well thanks to our incredibly gifted school administration, faculty, and staff. As with every school year in history, we know we will face certain challenges, but we can all be confident in the leadership of Mrs. Linda Pahl with the assistance of our teachers and staff. Please continue to pray for our school community as we proceed through this year.
Fall sports are underway for our high school students. Friday night lights will start this coming Friday with a home game against Pacific. Come on up to Borgia to cheer on our Knights as they begin a new season. More information regarding schedules for Borgia’s sports teams can be found at

On Sunday, September 12th, we will celebrate our annual SFB Parish Fall Festival right here on our grounds. We will have fun activities for all ages. Invite your friends, neighbors, family members, and anyone you can think of to join us for this great event. We will have plenty of outdoor seating for the awesome meal as well as the option for carry-out. This will be different this year due to the ongoing issues around Covid, but it will still be fantastic! Our Fall Festival committee is busy fine tuning the details for the parish festival happening next month. Signups are underway now to fill the many volunteer spots needed to make this event a success. You can sign up at this link:

I spoke with Msgr. Jack this past week. He wanted me to pass along an update on his health to this parish family whom he loved so much and who has been praying for him throughout this ordeal. He continues to fight cancer, but it has unfortunately spread to some other parts in his body. He began chemotherapy this past week and will continue with that for an undetermined amount of time. Fr. Jack told me that he is somewhat fearful of what all of this will lead to, but that he feels like he is in good hands with the capable medical staff at BJC’s Siteman Cancer center in West St. Louis County. He is requesting your continued prayers that he will handle the treatment well and be able to maintain quality of life during the treatment. I assured him of our prayers for him. He would love to hear from you if you have time to send a note. If you would like to send him a note, his new address is:
Msgr. Jack Costello

Thanks for your prayers for Fr. Jack and for all you do for St. Francis Borgia.
