Last weekend we were privileged to host the Freshman class of Borgia for their Homecoming dinner in Jesuit Hall. It was nice for all of them to be together. The Homecoming weekend went well and the students had a great time.
Speaking of High School activities, the Washington High School Band Festival and Parade is this coming Saturday, October 2nd. Parking and access to some of the lots and streets will be limited for the Saturday morning Mass, so keep that in mind. How blessed we are, though, to be in the middle of so much action as the students from many high schools, including our two local high schools, show off their talent and share it with our community!
We had our first 6:00 p.m. Sunday Mass last weekend. It went well and was well attended. We will continue these Masses each week and they will be followed by High School Youth Ministry events. (Please note: there will be no Sunday evening Mass on Oct. 31.) Encourage the teens you know to come and join us.
Want to see some fun grade school volleyball?! Come watch the SFBGS team take on Lourdes for our “Pack the Gym Night'' this Tuesday, September 28th beginning at 6:30 p.m. here at our Grade School gymnasium. It should be lots of fun!
Have a great week. Thanks for all you do to support our parish which makes it possible for all of this and more to happen every week!
