Thank you for your support of the Sausage Supper last weekend! And many, many thanks to Danny & Amanda Williams for chairing the event. They did an outstanding job and were “cool as cucumbers” even during the busiest parts of the day! Thanks, too, to the wonderful volunteers who helped with the supper. Here’s a really neat piece of good news that we can all be proud of as parish members of St. Francis Borgia - we had 100% of the volunteer slots filled for the Sausage Supper! Every position for every shift was filled by a volunteer. That’s wonderful!!! We are blessed beyond measure here and it gives me one more reason to be grateful for the opportunity to be your Pastor. Thank you again for volunteering and for coming to the Sausage Supper. The food was great! The weather was absolutely beautiful! And we are so grateful that so many people got to enjoy a really good meal!
This Thursday, October 28th, the KC Hall will be hosting a Burger Night. The proceeds from this week’s Burger Night will help support our SFBGS Athletic Association. Another good reason to take a night off from cooking while supporting a great cause. We are blessed by our volunteer Athletic Association Board members, coaches, and parents who work so hard to help our kids enjoy sporting activities. Come on by the KC Hall anytime from 5:30 - 8:00 to enjoy a delicious burger and support our Athletic Association and the players on our teams!
Our SFBGS Home & School Raffle is underway. Tickets are available by calling the parish or school office or you can get one from a school family. The tickets cost $25 each and give you an opportunity to win one of three prizes: $2,500, $1,000, or $500. There’s even a bonus early bird drawing on October 29th and the winner will receive $250! The Home & School Association is made up of parents of our Grade School students and they do so much to support our school. If you are able, please consider buying a ticket. We are so blessed by our Home & School Association and grateful to them for their ongoing support of SFBGS.
Good news from the Fall Festival! We served over 1,500 meals along with nearly 120 buckets of chicken. Our net proceeds from the Festival amounted to $36,921.38! Thanks again to Phillip & Mary Kleekamp who chaired this year’s Fall Festival and to Justin & Laura Voss who co-chaired it and will take the helm as chairpersons for next year’s Fall Festival. And thank you to our awesome volunteers and to all who came out to enjoy the Festival.
