Dear Parishioners,
Another week has gone by and it seems that Covid has left the rectory, hopefully for good. Fr. Tony is doing great and is helping cover for me in so many ways. I am grateful to him and to our entire staff for how they have stepped up in my absence.
It seems that Covid has left me the parting gift of a cough. Given that, I am literally taking things day by day and hour by hour to see how things progress. I want it to be mostly cleared before I celebrate Mass. And after I’ve asked you many times to not come to church if you have any symptoms, I’m following my own advice. Thanks for your patience with all of this.
As we continue to deal with an increase in Covid cases in our community and region, may I ask that we redouble our effort to wear masks before, during, and after Mass when you are in the buildings? It seems to be one of the important ways to help stop the spread. We all need to remember that we can feel good but still unknowingly spread Covid. So let’s take that extra step to protect others. Please know that this request comes from a simple desire to keep everyone safe, especially those who are immuno-compromised or otherwise vulnerable. And please keep washing and sanitizing those hands and keeping a safe distance from others not of your household.
Thanks again for your support. I hope you have a great weekend. Know of my prayers for you and your loved ones.
Fr. Mike Boehm
