Dear Parishioners,
I hope you enjoyed your celebration of Christmas Day and that you continue to enjoy celebrating the Christmas Season! What a great opportunity afforded to us by our Church to celebrate Christmas until January 9th so we can let the truth of this Season of Christ’s Birth soak into our hearts. May these days bless us and deepen our faith in Jesus, the Word Made Flesh.
Our Church looks beautiful and I want to thank so many folks who came to help decorate this past week. Thanks, also, to our wonderful crew of Church Cleaners who come in every week to make sure our Church looks great! They are all volunteers and put so much time and effort into their cleaning of the Church. We are so blessed!
I hope you get to enjoy this week with family and loved ones. As we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family on the day after Christmas, let’s join together to pray for the strengthening of our families here in our parish and around the world. Jesus, Mary, & Joseph, pray for us!
Just a reminder that this coming Saturday, January 1st, is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year due to the fact that it falls on a Saturday. We will celebrate that day, the Feast of Mary, Mother of God, at 8:00 a.m. Mass. Our regular weekend schedule will kick into gear that evening with 4:30 p.m. Mass. Sunday, Jan. 2nd, we will be back to our regular schedule of Masses at 7:00, 9:00, and 11:00 a.m. Our Sunday evening Youth Mass will also be celebrated at 6:00 p.m.
As we close out 2021 and reflect back, it’s a good time to recognize the blessings we have enjoyed this year and offer a prayer of thanks for them. It’s also a good opportunity to ask the Lord to help us where we need to change. Please know of my gratitude and that of Fr. Tony to be assigned here to Borgia. We love it and we love you! May God bless us as a parish family as we turn the calendar to 2022.
A reminder that there will not be a 6:00 p.m. Mass this evening (December 26th).
Have a blessed New Year. Be safe!
Fr. Mike Boehm
