Due to CoVID and to comply with regional restrictions, the St. Louis Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America has made the decision to not have door-to-door pick up for Scouting for Food Drive this year.
The local food pantries at
St Francis Borgia, St Peters, Loving Hearts and the Pregnancy Assistance Center are a vital lifeline in our community for our friends and neighbors. Between the 4 local food pantries, over 700 families are supported each month from the generosity of our community. Since the onset of COVID, the food pantries have seen an increase in the number of families trying to put food on their tables. Scouting for Food is the single largest food drive for the local food pantries each year. And this year, more than ever, our support is needed for our local food pantries.
We are asking for your help in 2 ways:
First, please donate! All donations will remain in our community.
Second, please spread the word that there is a local effort to collect food this year to support the families in our community.
Here is where and how you can donate:
Borgia Parish Drop Off: Donate non-perishable food items in the donation bins in the Jesuit Hall vestibule before weekend Masses on November 21st and 22nd.
KC’s Drive thru: Drop off donations on Saturday, November 21st from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at the Knights of Columbus parking lot.
Monetary Donations: Donate through the BSA text-to-give campaign – Text "SCOUTFOOD" to 91999 to donate. (all donations will come back to our community.)
I know that
together we can make a difference and continue to serve those who need us. Thank you!
