Mother Teresa Topic of April 7 Speaker Series Evening

Dr. Shawn McCauley Welch will be our guest speaker at the 150th Church Anniversary Speaker Series evening on Sunday, April 7.

Considering herself blessed to be able to teach the faith, Dr. Welch currently serves as Associate Professor of Moral Theology at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary and at Paul VI Institute. She also serves on the Peace and Justice Commission for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

She and her husband, who both teach at the Seminary, have three children - a daughter who has finished undergraduate school and two boys, one in college and the other who is a senior in high school. 

Dr. Welch's topic, "Mother Teresa, our Sister in Christ," will highlight the vocation story of this saint and how it evolved over a lifetime. All of us who want to be close to Christ have a vocation story. Our story may have moments of religious zeal and times of doubt. This is also true of our saint.
