The richness of have more than one priest in a parish has been our blessing. Each priest is unique and brings different gifts and talents to any one parish. We will miss Fr. Buehler because he has enriched us all with his talks and his presence. He is very caring and very pastoral. The school students especially will miss him, as he stood at the school doors most mornings welcoming them to school for the day.
Let us pray for him in transition to his new assignment.
God has blessed us with him and we thank him for his response to God’s call to priesthood. We also need to pray and invite more young people to answer the call to religious life and priesthood.
As we go forth as a parish without a full time associate, Fr. Kevin and I have worked out a schedule. There will be NO changes with the Mass or confession schedules. Currently, Fr. Kevin has Mass on Mondays and Thursdays at 7:00 am. He will start to do 7:00 am Mass on Tuesdays when I have the 8:00 am school Mass. On Tuesdays, I will be in the confessional early, sometime during the 7:00 am Mass, but I will have to stop when the 8:00 am school Mass begins. On Saturdays, Fr. Kevin will have the 8:00 am Mass, and I will have the 4:30 pm Mass pretty much the whole time. We will continue to rotate on Sundays.
There has been no guarantee of another priest coming in July at this time. As I have said earlier, we need to pray for vocations to religious life and priesthood.
