As we celebrate this Easter Sunday, we celebrate HOPE. Jesus brings us hope. Hope to a world that at many times people feel despair and rejection. Jesus brings us new life and hope, not only for here on earth, but also for life after death.
Recently the movie “Unplanned” was shown and many have seen it. Abortion has been legal since Roe vs Wade of January 22, 1973. There have been many abortions in our country. For those who are seeking forgiveness and mercy, God and the Catholic Church are there for them.
www.archstl.org/hope-healing from the Archdiocese has a number of ways to help those who have experienced an abortion in their life. God loves them and He will always loves. God also forgives them. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available for all who seek forgiveness and mercy from God through the Church.
On behalf of Fr. Kevin, Deacon Gilbert, Deacon Leon, Deacon Dennis, the entire Parish and School Staff and myself, wish you and your family, a very blessed and hope filled Easter and Easter Season!!!!
Thanks for all you do to make the Risen Lord known in our community.
As you may have heard, Fr. Kevin will be leaving our parish and the Washington area in June. I have received news that Fr. Mike Boehm will be living here, but not as a part time or fulltime associate of our parish. Please pray for both Fr. Kevin and Fr. Mike in their transitions. Remember, this will all take place on June 25.
