We celebrate the 244th anniversary of our independence as a country this weekend. As you see and hear, there is still more work to do bring those freedoms to full completion. As you are aware, there is a lot mentioned about individual rights. We know that the one that we are still fighting is the right to life of the unborn and in the respect of life for the elderly. A person’s rights do not supersede God’s right to life. Of course, we have made some advances but the fact is that abortion is still part of our society.
As July and August is a time for vacations, do not forget about having Mass as part of your vacation. Masstimes.org is a good source to find out the Mass schedule. I would also suggest that you call ahead to make sure that the schedule has not changed because of COVID 19.
If you have not been here or read the bulletin closely, daily Mass is on the third floor of Jesuit Hall and Saturday and Sunday Masses are in church. There is a lot scaffolding in church. Be sure to try to distance yourself for your own safety and the safety of others.
