Pastor's Notes - 07/28/2019

My official email address is [email protected].  Parishioners and staff have been receiving bogus emails from other email addresses which are asking for MONEY or GIFT CARDS.  I WOULD NEVER DO THAT. DO NOT FALL INTO THE TRAP ABOUT BEING ASKED TO GIVE ANYTHING TO ME.
 
So far, I have commitments totaling  $33,000 for the “FR. JOE COOL CLUB “, air conditioning project of the school.  The goal is $200,000.  Thanks for all your generosity.  Any pledges should be completed by June 30, 2020.
 
There is a sign-up sheet in the vesting sacristy for those wanting to be ministers for our new Wednesday 6:30 p.m. mass.  We are in need of lectors, extraordinary Eucharistic ministers and servers. The first mass will be on Wednesday, August 7.
 
Now that we are at the end of July, the teachers will start working in their classrooms beginning August 1.  School opens on Thursday, August 15 with Mass for the Holy Day of the Assumption of Mary.  Please pray for our students, parents, teachers, staff and administration as we begin a new school year soon.
 
Please pray for our sick and homebound parishioners.  We want to make sure that those who cannot attend Mass and want to receive the Eucharist, have that possibility.  Please let the parish office know so that we can get it arranged for you.  Deacon Dennis has taken over this ministry.  He will receives his information from the parish office.
