With school starting this past Thursday, it is a time to reflect on why we have a Catholic Grade School. It is a great opportunity to form our young people in the faith. We give them the opportunity to receive the Eucharist, go to Reconciliation and be taught the fundamentals of the Catholic faith.
Let us recall what is said in the Sacrament of Baptism, “parents are the primary educators of their children in the ways of faith.” Even though we provide a Catholic Grade School and PSR for our youth, the role of parents are very important in the formation of their children. There have been studies which say how important fathers are in providing religious formation and to set the moral conduct of their children. Let us continue to pray for our parents and those grandparents who have also become the parental role for their grandchildren.
I have been asked how the Father Joe Cool Club is progressing? I have receive a little over $60,000, both in pledges and checks. Remember that you have until June 30, 2020 to complete any pledges. You can make a pledge and spread it out over months or, of course, you can do a one time donation. I know that not everyone is able to do this. I am very thankful to all of you for how much you do contribute to the parish for our ordinary and extraordinary expenses to keep our buildings in good shape and to provide a Catholic Education for our youth.

Thanks for all you do!!!
