Pastor's Notes - 12/09/2018

As I look down the road this month, since both Christmas and New Year’s Day both fall on Tuesdays there will not be Adoration on both those days.  Since Tuesday morning is also the time for confessions after the 7:00 am Mass, we will instead offer confessions after 7:00 am Mass on Monday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 31.  There will not be confessions heard on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.  In addition, there will be a Combined Parish Reconciliation Service on Monday evening, Dec. 17 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes.

Again, I want thank you for all your support of time, talent and treasure for our parish of St. Francis Borgia whether it be the Fifth Friday Fish and Chicken Dinner, Ladies Sodality Breakfast, Fellowship Sunday Donuts, Third Sunday Breakfast, just to mention a few.  And your response during September to share more of your time and treasure for the next year was significant which will allow us to do more in our parish.

On this Friday, Dec. 14, we will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe with a Mass in Spanish with English readings and homily at 6:00 pm.  There will be a gathering afterwards upstairs in Jesuit Hall with food and refreshments.  Fr Tim Noelker will be the celebrant of the Mass.  All are invited.
