Public Masses Resume Monday, May 18
May 7, 2020 -- Archbishop Robert J. Carlson has announced that parishes in the Archdiocese of St. Louis are permitted to begin resuming public Masses on Monday, May 18, at the discretion of each individual parish pastor. This decision, along with the policy and guidelines below, follows much work and consultation with the archdiocesan Presbyteral Council, the Missouri bishops and civil authorities. That collaboration will continue through May 18 and beyond, with decisions subject to change based on any new data provided by health officials.
The general dispensation from the Sunday mass obligation will remain in place for all Catholics of the Archdiocese until further notice, as many individuals continue to have concerns for the health and safety of themselves and their loved ones.
With this information in mind, we will resume the regular daily and weekend Parish Masses at St. Francis Borgia on Monday, May 18, beginning with the 7:00 am daily Mass. We will continue to livestream Masses so that those unable to attend in person may maintain a spiritual connection with our parish.

Additional Details for Our Parish based on Above Guidelines:
- Limited Church Capacity: The seating capacity for Masses at SFB Church and Choir Loft is 150. The Gathering Area Choir Room capacity is 50;
- Seating Per Pew: Four individuals, or three couples, or two families. (Family is defined as living in the same household);
- Church Doors Open: East door and two front doors of church;
- Jesuit Hall Doors Open: Glass door by Cedar Street steps and Cedar Street door
- Communion Distribution: We will use the side aisles for coming to Holy Communion and will return by the center aisle with social distancing observed;
- After Mass, family units should depart the church in an organized manner wearing masks and observing six feet of distance between other households.
