A native of Michigan, Sister Mary Kathleen vowed her life to the Lord and taught for a number of years in elementary schools in Michigan. A special love for the laity and their place in the life of the Church grew during her time of service as Director of Religious Education there.
She was sent to Rome for further studies in theology and completed her Doctorate in Sacramental Theology at Saint Anselm, a Benedictine institution specializing in liturgical and sacramental studies. She was invited to service in the Vatican office of the Congregation for the Liturgy and the Discipline of the Sacraments.
Returning to the United States after 17 years in Rome, Sister was invited by Archbishop Carlson to develop a program of formation for the Laity which she did together with Dr. Ed Hogan. Sister Mary Kathleen currently serves as the Director of Lay Formation Program for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
