Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Cancelled This Year

Even though fall is upon us, and at this time we are usually preparing for our annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that it is cancelled this year. This would have been our 30th year to share this dinner with those who would have otherwise been alone on this day of thanks. Due to an abundance of caution over the Covid-19 pandemic, we feel it is best to cancel. We are concerned about, and want to protect our volunteers as well as anyone attending. There is no way to ensure zero risk of infection at such a gathering.

If you still wish to make a donation please send a check by November 17 to Thanksgiving Day Dinner, c/o Nancy Wood, Treasurer, 119 East Fourth Street, Washington, MO 63090. Your donation will be forwarded to SFB Food Pantry, St. Peter’s Food Pantry, Harvest Table and Loving Hearts.
