We are excited to recognize Peyton Lackey for her hard work! She is one of only 20 finalists in the
Respect Life Creative Writing Contest! There were 870 essays submitted. Peyton along with her family and three guests from St. Francis Borgia Grade School will be attending an awards dinner on March 23rd at the Cardinal Rigali Center. We are extremely proud of Peyton! Our eighth grade students worked diligently to include details important to them in their essays.
Girl Scout Silver Award
Three girl scouts from our Parish, Susannah Cerutti, Annie Hasting and Alexis Perriman, recently received the Silver Award. The Silver Award is the highest award that can be earned by a Girl Scout at the Cadette level (grades 6-8). To earn this award, they had to complete the Bronze Award as Juniors, A Journey as Cadettes and complete their Silver Award project. For their Silver Project, these scouts held four after school classes last spring for students in 1st to 4th grades, teaching the students about recycling, composting, growing and conserving water and electricity,
Congratulations Susannah, Annie & Alexis!!
