At the Easter Vigil last week Fr. Joe baptized nine people, eight individuals made their First Communion and seven people received the Sacrament of Confirmation. What a wonderful celebration of our faith!!
We received many comments about the mass being beautiful, inspiring, and moving. It was all of that and more. The Spirit was present in a very real and powerful way. As Catholics, we are so blessed to have the sacraments pour out “oceans of mercy” as St. Faustina points out in her Divine Mercy diary as God’s greatest desire.
A big thank you to those who so faithfully attended the weekly RCIA classes the past seven months. Each of the three couples in the process have two small children so it was a godsend when Kyra Gulledge offered to provide babysitting services each week by school children and moms. The spirit of our faith-based community is alive and well at St. Francis Borgia.
Please continue to pray daily for those entering the church. Individual and family pictures of those involved in RCIA can be seen in the main gathering area of Jesuit Hall. Get to know your new parishioners and give them all a big Borgia welcome.
