Welcome to the 3rd Sunday in Lent and our weekend to spring forward those clocks!
Last Sunday was really wonderful with the celebration of our Family Mass at the 9:00 a.m. Mass. We had a great crowd. Our 5th grade students read, served, and brought up the gifts at Mass. We enjoyed some time together after Mass with Donut Sunday. So many stayed for a donut and enjoyed each other’s company. Aren’t we blessed around here with so many opportunities like that! Thanks for all you do to foster this great community of the family of St. Francis Borgia!
I also want to thank Kyra Gulledge, our PSR and school teachers, and all who attended the Lenten Family Night on March 1st. It was a great evening with opportunities for prayer and for service projects to help our community. We had a great turnout and there was a great energy in that gathering. Thank you!
Another thank you for all who organized and participated in our Dartball Tournament last Saturday. Another great event here at Borgia! We had a great turnout and those who attended had a great time! Thanks to Megan Woodcock, Mariah Parmentier, Mel Unnerstall, Emily Hellebusch and to our Home & School Association for their hard work to organize events like this and for all they do to support our parish grade school. We are blessed!
Breakfast next Sunday morning here at SFB! Invite your friends and neighbors. Come on over Sunday morning for a great breakfast and some wonderful company! Our breakfast will be served from 7:30 - 11:00 a.m.
How about this news that I got from Bill Gegg: “Our Divine Mercy Ministry group will be interviewed live this coming Monday, March 13 at 12:30 pm on cable channel EWTN. It will be a short interview of about 8 minutes on our sign making ministry here at SFB.” Congratulations!
I am planning to sneak away later this week for a few days of R & R to visit my brother. I’ll be gone from Thursday to Tuesday. Please take it easy on Fr. Tony!!
