Well, we are halfway through our preparation for Christmas. Do you feel that you are managing the Advent Season the way you wanted to? Since we are halfway to Christmas, it is time to check our advancement, or lack of it. The Lord has given us two more weeks to prepare for the Christ Child. These last two weeks of Advent will be even busier than the first two, so we will have to make more of an effort to keep Christ in Christmas.
There are two great preparation opportunities for you this week. Monday, at Our Lady of Lourdes, there is the annual Advent Prayer Day from 8:45 AM to noon. On Tuesday there will be a Reconciliation Service at 7:00 PM here at St. Francis Borgia. There will be four confessors for your convenience.
Normally, we offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturday evenings before the 4:30 PM Mass. But this year it will change. On Christmas Eve, Confessions will not be heard before the 4:30 PM Mass. Please use the many opportunities that we do have before Christmas for Reconciliation.
Have a hopeful, peaceful and joyful Advent Season.
