Beginning next Sunday, we will celebrate Catholic Schools Week! How blessed we are with the Grade School. With over 299 students, a tremendous faculty and staff, a strong Principal, dedicated and committed parents, and an extremely supportive Parish Family, we couldn’t be more fortunate. Mrs. Pahl is offering tours of the school all the time. If you know of anyone who might be interested to learn more about our school, please let them know that Mrs. Pahl or I would be happy to talk with or meet with them. We are justifiably proud of our fine school and love to show it off to prospective students and families.
Tuesday, February 2, is the Feast of the Presentation and Candlemas Day. Candles will be blessed at the 7:00 am the Mass that day. You may order special candles from Altemueller’s Jewelry, and they will deliver those candles to church. After they are blessed, you may pick them up from Altemueller’s. You may also bring candles from home and have them blessed. Details can be found on page 5 of the bulletin.
Can you believe that Lent is only a few weeks away as it begins on February 17th. It’s a good time to start thinking and praying about Lenten practices that will assist you in deepening your faith. We will offer some unique programs and resources to help, but it is up to each of us to embrace the 40 days of Lent with zeal in order to have it make a difference to us. Let’s pray for each other as we approach this important time in our Church year.
Our
Annual Stewardship Report for the fiscal year of 2020 is now available on our website. I hope you enjoy looking over the many ways we are blessed here at St. Francis Borgia Parish. Even amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have come together to support one another as a parish family. I have no doubt that the spirit of companionship and caring for each other will continue into the future so that we can remain a strong and vibrant parish doing our part to continue the mission of Jesus in our beautiful area of the world. Thank you for your support of our parish.
