It’s hard to believe this is the 3rd Sunday of Advent! As we approach Christmas, please remember that we are asking that you sign up to let us know what Mass you plan to attend so we can get an idea for planning purposes. (Our Masses on Christmas Eve will be at 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Our Christmas Day Masses will be at 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.) Note: The sign-up is not for reserved seating. The sign-up is meant to help us plan for ministers, etc. You can easily sign-up (and even change which Mass you intend to attend) by going to this site:
https://bit.ly/SignUp_SFB_ChristmasMasses. You can also sign up on the paper form in Jesuit Hall on the large table if you prefer to do that. Thank you for your assistance with this. We are new at this whole “pandemic at Christmas” thing, so we appreciate your patience and cooperation.
A reminder about
Advent activities of which you may wish to take advantage:
Confessions: Tuesday mornings after 7:00 a.m. Mass and after the 6:30 p.m. Mass; Saturday mornings after the 8:00 a.m. Mass and from 3:30-4:15 p.m. You may also schedule an appointment with Fr. Tony or me.
Advent Sunday Evening Prayer and Chat with the Priests: On our Parish Facebook Live account. You can easily access that from the main page of our parish website or find us on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/borgiaparish/. So far we have had a lot of fun with this and we hope you can join us this week and/or next week. Join us at 5:30 p.m. this evening!
Our Grade School will end the semester this Friday for Christmas break. Everybody in that building is excited! We are blessed with our faculty and staff who have worked so hard this year with the added challenge of the pandemic to keep our kids safe and in the building. If you see a faculty or staff member, please thank them for their extra efforts this year. While it’s been challenging to keep reminding the students to wear masks, wash hands, and keep distance, it has been a blessing to remain in school where minds and hearts are fed daily with education and faith formation. To Mrs. Pahl, our faculty and staff, thank you for your efforts and we wish you a blessed, relaxing and wonderful Christmas break!
As you make your plans for Christmas, please keep in mind the health and safety of yourselves and others by wearing masks, keeping a safe distance, and washing/sanitizing your hands. While the promise of a vaccine seems
to be coming to fruition soon, we are still subject to the spread of Covid and we surely want to protect those around us. Please keep this in mind as you make plans for gatherings with others, especially those outside of your household. Our care for others during this time is another way we can put our faith into practice.
