We continue to livestream our Masses on our
Facebook page and have them posted on the parish website:
borgiaparish.org. I realize there are many of you who do not have access to the internet, computer or smart phones. Fr. Mike has the weekly Mass at the High School on the radio every Sunday at 6:00 pm for people to hear a local Mass and livestreamed on Facebook.
The Archdiocese of St. Louis encompasses the City of St. Louis and ten counties. They take into account many possibilities before making any decisions. Please keep our government and religious leaders in your prayers that the Holy Spirit will help guide them to do the right thing for all of us.
As you are aware, our food pantry has remained open, with the help of some very dedicated people. They have provided a drive by for picking up food to help meet the needs of the community at this time. A few volunteers have chosen not to work because of the current health situations, but a couple of young people show up every time the food pantry is open.
Thank you for your generosity to the food pantry which continues to help serve the needs of the community. As of now, they do have a financial reserve. We have been directing people to our local St. Vincent de Paul, which is located at Our Lady of Lourdes, to help them with utilities and rent. There are parishioners from both parishes who are involved in both the Food Pantry and St. Vincent de Paul.
Thanks for all your generosity to the parish at this time. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
