Pastor's Notes - 12/30/2018

Many thanks to all of you for what you do and give to the Parish for me to administer, so that we can fulfill what Jesus has commanded us through the Church to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord.  Also, for the many ways which you have shown to us priests and deacons your gratitude, especially now at Christmas. Thank you very much!!!

As we approach the New Year, so often people make promises to change or do something new in the New Year. Most fail to accomplish this. This time of the year, I see a lot of new people at the Y.  It starts out very crowded, but given some time, it returns back  to the normal group.

So what do we as a parish have planned for the New Year? As mentioned in the previous bulletin, we will be installing air conditioning on the third floor of the grade school.  The ceiling of the church will be fixed where two of the apostles are pulling away from the ceiling.  This will be a 3-week process due to the scaffolding being set up to repair the canvas.  There will be additional repairs to this project in the future.

When you own a lot of property with buildings and parking lots, there is much to maintain.  With that being said, the parking lot by the middle school will be fixed and resurfaced.

All of these improvements will be paid for by the Beyond Sunday money, the regular weekly revenue and the building maintenance envelope donations.
