You’ve probably noticed that most of the pew kneelers in church have been recovered. The volunteer men on Mondays and Thursdays have been working on this for weeks. They sure have done a great job at a great savings to the parish. Of course, what wears them down more quickly is putting your feet on them when you sit down. So please be considerate when you are tempted to do that in church.
The Monday and Thursday volunteers usually attend the 7 a.m. Mass then receive their assignment and take their break together at 9 a.m. They continually do great things for the parish. Let us give them a shout out for the stewardship.
The Annual Catholic Appeal continues to go on even though the cards have been removed from Jesuit Hall. We usually have 50% of the parishioners participate in this annual appeal. As of my latest information, we have 30% of the cards ($71,613) returned with 80% of goal ($88,880) which is 72% of what we gave last year ($98,542). We have 35 new donors so far, and 145 increased their gift with 18 decreasing their gift. Please return your cards if you took them home from church so that we can get our goal before August to finish this campaign. Thanks for all your generosity!!!
