Thanks to all who supported our annual Sausage Dinner held last weekend. Those who worked had an enjoyable time meeting other parishioners and working with them. I especially want to thank Scott and Jaime Obermark and Martin and Sharon Eckhoff for their organization and leadership. I want to also acknowledge Jennifer Hill, our Business Manager, who went far beyond her regular duties to also help in the organization and running of the dinner.
There are always two aspects to these parish events. One is to raise some money for the parish to cover the budget, since the Sunday collection does not cover one hundred percent of it. More importantly though, it offers the opportunity to gather with fellow parishioners to strengthen their ties together, so when we worship every weekend at the Mass, we are praying together with people we know and have built up the community of St. Francis Borgia together.
As we are counting the attendance of Mass last weekend, there were 1,105 people including the Scout Mass I had at Beaumont Scout Camp. Thanks for all your support for our parish family.
