As we celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent this weekend, we are probably saying, “well, there are four weeks to Advent, I still have time.” Do not be fooled this year because the Fourth Sunday of Advent is also Christmas Eve! This is our last week to get ourselves ready spiritually for the feast of Christmas.
Have you been using the Little Blue Book and reading the thought every day? Have you received the sacrament of Reconciliation yet to seek God’s forgiveness and have a clean soul for Christmas? This week we are hosting the Advent Reconciliation Service with Our Lady of Lourdes on Wednesday evening, Dec. 20, at 7:00 p.m.
Would like to help decorate church for Christmas this coming Friday, December 22 at 3:30 p.m.? It is a good way to meet other parishioners, plus many hands make fast work for all.
Thanks to all who helped plan and celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. I am appreciative of those who made it a great celebration.
Do not forget that next Sunday morning we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent, then in the evening we celebrate Christmas Eve. There will be a second collection on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to help support our seminary and seminarians. Please be generous.
