    • Parish Library Updated

Beginning August 1, 2021, the parish library reopened for all parishioners at St. Francis Borgia Parish.  The library has over 1,500 titles to choose from, including DVDs and books for children and teens/young adults. The “Bulletin Spotlight” will feature a different selection each week so you can keep up on what is new and available in the library.

The Parish Library at Saint Francis Borgia is located on the First Floor of Jesuit Hall in the Yellow Room. Recently moved to this larger, dedicated location, the Parish Library provides space for reading the many books available or catching up on a scripture class video with the TV/DVR station located there.

Come see the rearranged space and browse through our reorganized inventory of books and DVDs. Available are books about Jesus, Mary, lives of the saints, sacraments, Bible studies, and more. There are dedicated spaces for children’s books, young adult books, and Christian fiction, as well as a seating area for those who can’t wait to get home before reading!

The library staff greatly appreciates the generosity of those who have recently donated books for the library’s collection. We request that donated books are:

      • preferably by Catholic authors or publishers
      • if by non-Catholic authors, contain no anti-Catholic or erroneous teaching
      • in good physical condition
      • not excessively old

The book display in the Jesuit Hall gathering area has been enhanced by the addition of additional shelving. This will provide a larger and more convenient selection of books to check out as you leave Mass.

Thank you for your patience as we went through this long period of closure and reconfiguration. It is truly a blessing to have our own parish library and exciting to be able to make it available again.

    • Check-out Procedures

The Parish Library is open after Mass on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings, during office hours and most evenings.

There are two locations for checking out books and DVDs  - the main library downstairs across from the Franciscan Room and the “Satellite Library” rack and shelves on the main level of Jesuit Hall.

It is requested that books are checked out according to the directions posted including signing the book card. Just a reminder: when you fill out the pocket card to check out an item, please remember to enter the date due and also your phone number. This will help the library staff keep track of circulation. Books are allowed to be checked out for a month before being returned.

Please do not remove books or DVDs
      from either location
without filling out the checkout card
      from your book/DVD.

The completed cards can be put in the boxes located to the left of the rack upstairs, or on the checkout table in the library downstairs.

Come and see what we offer, including children’s books for all ages, and a dedicated area for Young Adults.

Spring Cleaning? If you find a book that belongs to the SFB Parish library, please return is as soon as you are finished. Thank You!

    • Contact the Library!

Do you want to suggest a book or DVD for the SFB Library to add to its inventory? Do you want to know how long a DVD can be checked out? Are you unsure how to check out a book?
