SAFE ENVIRONMENT USER REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

PREVENT AND PROTECT STL

November 2019 -- The Archdiocese of St. Louis has developed a new system for safe environment compliance called Prevent and Protect STL. Everyone ministering to minors and vulnerable adults (clergy, employees and volunteers) in the Archdiocese are required and asked to register in the new system before December 31, 2020.

This includes those new to service and those who are currently in service.  Those who are new to service are required to attend a live Protecting God's Children Workshop in addition to the background screening and trainings.

For those who have already attended a Protecting God’s Children workshop, your previous training date will transfer to this new system. Currently registered clergy, volunteers, and employees will need to complete the request for an updated background screening, view two new online training modules on abuse reporting and the Code of Ethical Conduct, and agree to the updated Code of Ethical Conduct.

Please go to www.preventandprotectstl.org to register. When registering, enter the passcode "stlprotect" when prompted. If you do not have computer access, please stop by the parish office to pick up paperwork to fill out.

Contact our parish Child Safety Coordinator, Ann Kopp (636-390-3861 or akopp@borgiaparish.org) with any questions or for further assistance.

PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN

Thank You for Volunteering at St. Francis Borgia Church and School

Saint Francis Borgia Church and School follow the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program (Protecting God's Children). The program is designed to help protect the youth, elderly, and vulnerable adults of our parish as they participate in activities within our community. This process also provides a layer of protection against the possibility of false accusations for those adults who are involved in our many ministries.

Anyone that works or volunteers with children or vulnerable adults in our parish or school is required to attend the Protecting God's Children Workshop. This includes parish and school employees, parents and grandparents of children in our grade school that want to volunteer, scout leaders, maintenance helpers, food pantry workers, quilters, etc. If you have any questions, please call Ann Kopp (636. 390.3861 or
akopp@borgiaparish.org).
